The following articles were taken from the local newspapers, it should be noted that the name DICKGIESER was mis-spelled in all the articles. 3 Feb 1882 (Puget Sound Weekly Courier) A German, named DEGEASTER, while on his way to his home, near Tumwater, last week, disappeared very mysteriously, and has not been seen since then. He was last seen on the outskirts of the town, and it is thought probable he may have fallen into the bay. But up to the present the search for his body has been unsucessful... 3 Feb 1882 (Washington Standard) Mr. DICKEASER, well known to many of our citizens as a wood peddler, has been missing since last friday, and it is thought some harm has befallen him. He was addicted at times to the excessive use of stimulants, and it is feared that while in that condition he may have fallen into the bay, while returning to his home at Tumwater... 7 Feb 1882 (Puget Sound Weekly Courier) A basket, supposed to have belonged to Mr. DEGEASER, who is thought to have fallen into the bay near Tumwater, last week, was picked up, yesterday, on a point near the capitol. 10 March 1882 (Washington Standard) The body of the German, DEGUISER, who is supposed to have met his death by falling from the Tumwater bridge a month or more ago was found on Harstein Island, Mason County, about 15 miles below this place, on the 3rd inst. The remains were interred in the Catholic Cementary, on Bush Prairie, one day this week... 10 March 1882 (Puget Sound Weekly Courier) The body of Mr. DEGEASER, the German who was supposed fell off the Tumwater bridge about a month ago, was found Saturday, at Squaxon's Island. A corner's inquest was held, which resulted in a verdict in accordance with the facts. Mr. DEGEASER leaves a wife and large family to mourn his loss... 04 Feb 1882 (Olympia Transcript) Not Found.- The old German, Dekeiser, who was lost about 10 days ago, in going home from this city to Tumwater, has not yet been found.
